It's now time to elect our 2016/17 Vice President, Publicity Officer and a second Social Secretary (to help the fantastic Will Taylor) - and we need you to stand!

Please upload a manifesto for the position you wish to stand for - voting will be on the 24th May from 4-6pm (further details to follow) - and nominations will close at midnight on the 23rd May so act now without delay!

Roles

A short description of the roles you can stand for follows and more detail on each role can be found in the MUMS Handbook here. There is also a "Committee Family Tree" that shows how all the roles interact - you can find it here.

Social Secretary

The social secretaries organise the Christmas and Summer Balls, and as many other socials as they can! As well as organising the socials, the secretaries will also have to promote them, and also work with the treasurer to ensure socials help raise money for the society.

Publicity Officer

The publicity officer is responsible for putting together a team of designers to produce the posters and flyers that advertise all of MUMS concerts and socials. They will need to organise photo-shoots for soloists if necessary, and work closely with the Programming Team to ensure all material is produced accurately and quickly once concert programmes are confirmed. They will also need to organise flyering teams to promote our concerts (such as outside the Bridgewater Hall).

Vice President

The Vice President helps co-ordinate many aspects of MUMS, including overseeing the Social Secretaries, the General Members and organising the MUMS Tour! If you want to know any more about the VIce President Role speak to Becca - vice.president@mumusicsociety.co.uk
