MUMS Chamber Orchestra performs a variety of chamber orchestra repertoire in three concerts across the year. Some of the ensemble’s past repertoire has included Richard Struass’ Concerto for Oboe and Small Orchestra in D major AV144; Carl Maria von Weber’s Concerto for Bassoon in F major Op. 75 and Mozart’s Symphony No. 38 in D major K.504. It is an auditioned dynamic ensemble, with personnel seating the ensemble based on the society auditions held in September/October and January.
The next Chamber Orchestra concert is at 7.30pm on 12th March in the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall and will feature Lanabel Teo playing Mozart's Violin Concert No. 5 and a specially commissioned double concerto by Joshua Brown for sheng and clarinet, featuring Lixian Chew and Seb Marshall.
